The Story-
In this third book, the Demon Lord is still after Kate, and he has set a 1 million dollar bounty on her head. With the ante upped, Patrick and the rest of the Guardians are doing their best to protect Kate, but bounty hunters keep coming. A desperate plan to kill the Demon Lord in the past is hatched, but Patrick is besides himself with worry. You see, he knows Kate is going to die, he just doesn't know when.

My Thoughts-

A great conclusion to a really fun trilogy. This book is filled with a great mystery- How will Kate die? It is a great conundrum. Kate has already appeared from the future and died in Patrick's arms, but in the present, her death hasn't occurred. Patrick is desperate to not tell Kate what happened so that she won't get any ideas about doing it in the future, but things are going out of control, and when people start dying, he spills the secret.

Then we have Kate, who still wants to live a somewhat normal life. Her character is brave and giving. Her main concern is for her twin sisters, and she's willing to give up Patrick to save them. She has a secret too, she knows about the bounty before the Guardians do, and doesn't tell a soul. She just wants to stay home.  But, her desire puts people in danger. And voila- the great tie in with the above mystery. The reader knows Kate's decisions are lining her up to fulfill her future, and die.

The ending is perfect, a great wrap up that answers all the readers questions. Teens will love this trilogy. 4 Stars!
