A Word From Grammarly about NaNoWriMo

This appeared in my inbox and I thought it was great advice for those participating in NaNoWriMo, plus it came in a cute little graphic :)

  1. I like the graphic, but it drives me CRAZY when I see someone write that the purpose of commas is to indicate a pause. There are probably over two dozen comma rules and none of them is to indicate a pause. Every comma should be used with one of the comma rules such as separating two adjectives when they are interchangeable or where two independent clauses are joined by a conjunction. I know this isn't your graphic, so I'm just venting.
