Ode To My Mailbox

Mailbox, Oh, mailbox!
I love you so much.
Everyday I wait with baited breath
To discover your treasures within.

Mailbox, Oh, Mailbox,
Why do you tease me so?
The key shakes in my hand.
Could today be the day?

Another day, another bill
Where are the letter's I crave?
Editor's, Agent's are you really there?
Is there any hope?

Mailbox, Oh, Mailbox,
I hate you so!
Full of false promises.
Until tomorrow,
When hope fills my soul again.

  1. Thanks Beth. Luck is underestimated. I could use all I can get.
